Senior Officer, Information System - Al Sayer Group Jun 11th 2013, 08:18 A Senior Officer, IS provides technical assistance to the IS division of IT department by performing the following duties: • Assist in collecting preliminary information about current systems. • Gather and analyzes existing documentation and sample document forms. • Collect quantitative information about document flows, file sixes, and processing frequencies. • Assist in the collecting and analyzing of detailed information about existing systems. • Design simple reports and screen layouts for user review in accordance with directives supplied by an assigned supervisor. • Participate in the preparation of systems specification report. • Develop and test machine-re-definitions of simple menu and program-controlled screens. • Design detailed program structure and prepares corresponding logic description in simple cases. • Code simple programs in selected programming languages on the basis of corresponding logic descriptions. • Prepare the program's test plan and checks the program using test data base as planned. • Participate in production of user-oriented system's documentation and assists in the integration of new systems with manual procedures and information flows. • Attend training sessions on various systems development aspects such as systems analysis and design methodologies, programming languages, methods and techniques, etc. • Attend training on operation systems and software packages used within information systems department. • Keep up-to-date with new approaches to system development and changes in computer technology.
