Gaffney, Cline & Associates, a division of Baker Hughes, has an immediate opening for a Geophysicist in our Singapore office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Provide geophysical input to multi-disciplinary projects, from frontier exploration through discovery and appraisal to field development and production
· Perform geophysical interpretation and analysis, including 2D/3D seismic interpretation, AVO analysis and velocity analysis and subsequent depth conversion, using appropriate, state-of-the-art techniques to provide Best-in-Class solutions for the client.
· Evaluate/audit client provided geophysical interpretations and subsurface mapping
· Present data, interpretations, and reports to clients either individually or as part of a larger project team
· Advise clients on geophysical matters and provide solutions
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
· Strong understanding of geophysics, 2D/3D seismic interpretation techniques, velocity analysis, AVO/seismic amplitude analysis techniques, subsurface structural and stratigraphic mapping techniques, and structural geology
· Demonstrates ability to perform geophysical interpretation and analysis independently
· Ability to interpret and map using SMT Kingdom and Petrel interpretation software a plus
· Excellent problem solving skills with a drive for results
· Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and have a strong client focus
· Very Good to Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
· Must be able to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams
· Must be highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
· Good project management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree (Honors) or Higher Graduate Degree in Geophysics/Geology with minimum of 5 years relevant work experience as a geophysicist/seismic interpreter
