Accountant (Arabic speaking) - Baker Hughes May 1st 2013, 03:47 Reports to: Country Accounting Center Lead Main Responsibilities: Main Primary Duties -Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports -Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions. -Monitoring day to day banking relationship. -Supervising the Treasury function to ensure implementation of best practices as well as adherence to BHI policies & procedures. -Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness -Manage the Re-Bill function between 2 entities in Iraq on a monthly basis (Revenue + Cost) -Resolve accounting discrepancies -Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. -Monitor and support taxation issues -Handel special projects as assigned AP - Coordinate the payment run process: set and communicate timetable, review of payment runs, feedback to AP RAC team. - Deal with any escalated vendor queries ensuring all queries are resolved promptly. - Ensure proper and timely reconciliation is done for strategic vendor statements by AP team to ensure smooth delivery of required service. Management / staffing - Continually review & develop new procedures to improve Reporting function within the CAC- Iraq - Monitoring department KPIs. - Coordinate the FP&A and Reporting, GL, AP Team in RAC on the main items in the time-table.
