POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Student Recruitment Director, the Student Recruitment Officer contributes to and supports the planning and development of strategies regarding student recruitment, and will also be involved in organizing and conducting field visitations and campus tours. The Officer will visit high schools and give Admissions presentations, distribute and present promotional materials, discuss campus information with counselors, students and parents, collect information needed from students to answer inquiries concerning academic offerings and collect pertinent information concerning visits. The Officer will also arrange and conduct workshops, seminars, and conferences and advise students concerning curriculum and career opportunities, and assist students in advising and applying for the Precollege Programs. The Student Recruitment Officer will have extensive contact with high school officials, students and university personnel.
POSITION ACTIVITIES
1- Represents the college during school visits, open days, building tours, recruitment workshops, fairs, events and prospective students counseling in different on and off campus settings. Participates as a team member in planning such events.
2- Provides initial counseling to students and parents, and responds to queries from walk-ins, emails and/or phone calls and during outreach and recruitment activities.
3- Implement communication plans, databases. and procedure manuals, ensuring compliance, maintenance and consistency in each area of operations.
4- Compiles reports regarding student recruitment programs as requested and reports on school visits and open days.
5- Helps in organizing outreach and recruitment activities of the office and related logistics, such as students' handbooks, presentations, room bookings and other related tasks.
6- Liaises with different divisions in WCMC-Q as well as with QF to organize all the elements pertaining to different outreach activities, and reports back on progress.
7- Provides event management support to both on and off-campus recruitment events which involve the community, and provides support as required in developing the marketing plan of the event,
8- Liaises with regional schools and institutions to organize the travel of the Student Recruitment team, and occasionally travels to represent the College and to present to prospective students and their families.
9- Helps in the application process for the Precollege Programs by undertaking the initial screening of applications as well as maintaining an accurate database and records of communication.
10- Performs other duties as assigned.
