• Liaise with other ZAPIA and AWPR departments to ascertain their precise event requirements
• Assist in producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations,
staffing and budgets)
• Work within agreed budget and track expenses
• Source, secure and book suitable venues
• Liaise with other ZAPIA and AWPR departments such as Park Operations, GSA, EHS, Animal
Collection, Legal, Finance and assist in ensuring that specific obligations in terms of event insurance,
animal welfare, guests safety, legal, EHS, etc. are considered and adhered to
• Coordinate venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire
• Assist in preparing gift bags and event collateral
• Coordinate with team members of Marketing & Communications to help promoting the event
• Overseeing build-up and break-down of exhibition and event stands and material
• Assist in performing event evaluation (including data entry, analysis and reports)
