Cost Control Engineer May 28th 2013, 11:06 Job Responsibilities: • To keep a track of project efficiency and trends of costs incurred during entire project period, spanning from pre-mobilization stage to final-closeout stage, through detailed analysis. • To analyze financial data and reports for monitoring financial health of the projects and informing management in case unfavorable variances are observed. • Support project team for smooth launching of the project with respect to financial systems and procedures, as laid down in the planning and execution manual. • Analyze financial data to ensure that appropriate financial procedures are being followed. • Analyze Balance Cost to Complete (BCTC) prepared by project team for its completeness and correctness. • Monitor usage of materials and consumables to compare it against standards and budget provisions. • Conduct audits of procedures and systems, responsible for cost calculation and control at site as per agreed schedule. • Ensure budgeted documents are up to date, and record their proper backup. • Analyze weekly work performed vs. cost incurred and present report to the management. • Authenticate budgetary provisions for any indents generated at site • Review and reconcile all material received, issued and used for operations and calculate critical material wastages. • Prepare monthly cost to complete and cost at completion of project. • Prepare quarterly revenue vs. forecast report for management review. • Prepare cost impact report if there is any variation in the scope of project. • Prepare, analyze and present project analysis sheet on weekly and monthly basis to compare progress against baseline.
