The Role - Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The treasurer position is responsible for corporate credit control, liquidity, investments, and risk management related to the company's financial activities.
Principal Accountabilities:
ü Properly motivate the credit and collections staff.
ü Measure department & program performance with appropriate metrics.
ü If needed put in place & manage relations with collection agencies, credit reporting agencies, credit insurance providers.
ü Manage relations with the sales department.
ü Credit Operations.
ü Maintain the corporate credit policy.
ü Personally investigate the largest customer credit applications.
ü Management, maintain a team structure sufficient to meet all goals and objectives.
ü Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment and WC.
ü Close work with the different financial business partner to forecast and optimize the cash flow per BU (activity).
ü Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
ü Work with the corporate to use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company's borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions.
ü Maintain banking relationships.
ü Arrange for equity and debt financing.
ü Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning.
ü Oversee the extension of credit to customers in liaise with the credit manager.
ü Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities
ü Supervise the weekly cash meeting and reporting.
ü Supervise the SAP cash module installation.
